My sewing

Last week room12 did some sewing And we made some owls. At first we had to practise sewing like we had to practise whip stitch and making the OWL!!!. At first it was really hard but when I started to make the owl I  got a bit better at making the owl. the running stitch. after  we had learnt those we practiced stitching stuff like eyes on to a material and after that we practiced sewing things to gether. After we praccticed that we could final do the real part,  making the owl. When I was making the owl it was hard but after I did some of the eye I got a bit better at it. When I did the eye  I

My swim safe

  In week 5 room 12 went to swim safe.  We learnt how to do backstroke and freestyle.  I was in a group with Corban, Chayse, Corrina, Mellisa and Zaeleh. The first day at swim safe we got free time.  After about three times at swim safe we got to go in the deepest pool.  When we were in the deepest pool we had to wear life jackets.  All of the groups had a teacher.  I had so much fun at swim safe.  Uunfortunately we only went to swim safe for a week, after a week I wanted to go back but I couldn't.

My farm trip

 On week 5 we went on a farm trip. The first thing we did was have a picnic but the one thing I didn't like was that there was poo everywhere. After we had the picnic we went to the milking shed. We had to wait because room 13 went before us because we split up into our classes and our class was the second to last. When we got in we saw the cows getting milked I had to go down in to the bit where the farmer stands to put the suckers on. My Mum was there too. She took some photos of me. After that we got to hold a high pressure hose. When I got my turn it was quite hard to hold. We had to go back to the picnic place. Then we tasted some milk and it tasted like sugar with cream. unfortunately we had to go home.

high jump

During week 2 room 12 did high jump. At first we had to do a scissor jump and we scissor jumped over an elastic band that was really long. The first scissor jump I did  was really good. Then I tried  to do it on my odd side, which is my left, but I didn't do it good.Then we changed the elastic band to an actual pole. When I tried it on the pole I made the pole fall down and all the other people did except two people but then some other people got it too.  Then we had to leave to go back to class.

My Wordle

A couple of weeks ago the blends in room 12 had to do a wordle about long a spelling patterns. At first we had to write all the long a words like paper and day.  If we thought that there was a long a sound in it then we could  put it in the wordle that we had.

paired writing

This term we had to do paired writing. Paired writing is when you pair up with a buddy and there is a tutor and a writer, I was a writer and my tutor was Chayse one of my friends.The thing I liked about it was that you tutor would tell some Awesome things that you have done.

Three things I think I have improved on are

1 I think I have learnt how to put my similes in to sentences 

2 I have also improved to write more words.

3 I have also improved by writing more interesting words.  

Two things I think my tutorer was good at were

1 because he was a good encourager

2  he also was good at doing brain storms because when I said something that wasn't that interesting he  would make the word I said a whole lot  interesting and write it in my brain storm.

 one thing that has challenged me are

 1thing I felt challenging was trying to write more interesting words

Hello, I am Nazaryth. I am 9 years old, turning 10 next year. I am in room 12, and I have a sister called Ocean and she is in room 10. I used to go to Whitiora school, but now I am looking forward to my time at Vardon.
