This weeks words sharing

 this weeks words its an app on a ipod or ipad that helps you with your spelling you have to type in your words that you have and then you can listen to them and if they don't sound right you can record the words yourself and once your done your have done that you can then do three activities after you have done that you then do a test I like this app because its fun and its learning as well and you don't have to wait as long as being tested by a buddy

sherbet making

On Tuesday we were making sherbet. When we were making the sherbet we had to taste all the ingredients. The ingredients we had were, baking soda, tartaric acid, citric acid, refresh A.K.A orange flavored cordial. We also tasted icing sugar.The most yummiest thing we got to taste was the orange flavored cordial. The least favourite thing was the baking soda. When we added everything it tasted nice and it fizzed. When we put it in our mouth it fizzed because of the saliva we have in our mouth. It fizzed because the baking soda reacted with the citric acid and saliva in our mouth and had a chemical reaction.  It made Co2, which is carbon dioxide.

My Speech

At the starting of my speech, When we were making our speech I didint know what to do so I just picked a topic and My topic was culture and me. When I got on to it I think I started really well. Time for the real thing When my name was called out I was really nervouse. but then I finished yaaaa

Handwriting

Hi at the start of the year we had some handwriting goal and these are them

1. To flick the correct letters

2.to slope our letters the right way

3.to increase our speed

I can slope in the correct direction

I can slope and flick neatly and quickly

The goals I think I am going good with are flicking the correct letters and increasing my speed

My sock monkey

Hello this is my sock monkey I think he looks really cool. He was really hard to make. From making him I learnt how to whip stitch properly.
For my sock monkey we had to have any type of eyes a pair of socks needle and thread,marker and some scissors. You have to cut up the heel at first to create the legs and body . You had to cut the ears off and sew them with whip stitch then you sew them on the head part . You also do that for your tail. For your mouth you have to get pins and then sew it onto the head part
The hardest part of making him were the arms. Luckily I had some help from other people. Almost all of my sock monkey was sewn but my eyes were hot glue gunned on. As you can see my sock monkey is black and grey

My ballons questions

This is my post about the balloons over waikato activity I am doing for home learning. With the balloons over waikato activity we had to answer some questions  

Here are my answers:

1. I think the balloons over waikato festival is important event to hold because its a time when every one can have fun and relax and have a whole lot of entertainment 

2. The benfits for the city and the people are you can have fun and you will have a wqhole lot of fun 

 

My ANZAC questions

For my home learning I had to answer some questions and these are the answers

1. Anzac ceremonies are at dawn because the war stopped at dawn.

2.Gallipoli is in the eastern part of Turkey.

3. ANZAC stands for Australian and NewZealand army corps.

4 The 25th of April is important to Newzealanders because that was when the war stopped

The Warriors

Last week the Warriors came to Vardon school. The first game we played  was a game when you had to side step the person in the middle. I liked that game but it wasn't my favourite game . The second game we played was  bull rush and that was  my favorite game. The most favorite thing about it was that I liked it was getting to the other side but that was hard because half of the class was in the middle. Any way the third game was a game when you had to pick up the ball and score a try but you had to pass the ball to everyone  and then you can score  a try. The final game was when you had to run around some cones,  go to the end cone  and then shake out your moves A.K.A dance. That was funny,  At the end I got to have a photo with the Warriors ,  That was so cool. Then they had to go,  Noooo. 

2013 so far

Hi my name is Nazaryth I am in room12. I am a year 6. 2013 so far has been really good,  I have meet 7 new awesome people. We also got some new equipment to play with. since school started we have been doing a lot of art because we have been doing our name art ,our desk mat , our home learning book cover,  and our learning log cover.I've even made some new friends and that's how my year has started.
