This weeks words sharing

 this weeks words its an app on a ipod or ipad that helps you with your spelling you have to type in your words that you have and then you can listen to them and if they don't sound right you can record the words yourself and once your done your have done that you can then do three activities after you have done that you then do a test I like this app because its fun and its learning as well and you don't have to wait as long as being tested by a buddy

sherbet making

On Tuesday we were making sherbet. When we were making the sherbet we had to taste all the ingredients. The ingredients we had were, baking soda, tartaric acid, citric acid, refresh A.K.A orange flavored cordial. We also tasted icing sugar.The most yummiest thing we got to taste was the orange flavored cordial. The least favourite thing was the baking soda. When we added everything it tasted nice and it fizzed. When we put it in our mouth it fizzed because of the saliva we have in our mouth. It fizzed because the baking soda reacted with the citric acid and saliva in our mouth and had a chemical reaction.  It made Co2, which is carbon dioxide.

My Speech

At the starting of my speech, When we were making our speech I didint know what to do so I just picked a topic and My topic was culture and me. When I got on to it I think I started really well. Time for the real thing When my name was called out I was really nervouse. but then I finished yaaaa

Handwriting

Hi at the start of the year we had some handwriting goal and these are them

2.to slope our letters the right way

3.to increase our speed

The goals I think I am going good with are flicking the correct letters and increasing my speed

My sock monkey

Hello this is my sock monkey I think he looks really cool. He was really hard to make. From making him I learnt how to whip stitch properly.
For my sock monkey we had to have any type of eyes a pair of socks needle and thread,marker and some scissors. You have to cut up the heel at first to create the legs and body . You had to cut the ears off and sew them with whip stitch then you sew them on the head part . You also do that for your tail. For your mouth you have to get pins and then sew it onto the head part
The hardest part of making him were the arms. Luckily I had some help from other people. Almost all of my sock monkey was sewn but my eyes were hot glue gunned on. As you can see my sock monkey is black and grey
